IPC Plenary Notes (FAI Website)
ASIANIA countries were represented by delegates and observers from Australia, Bahrain, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and Qatar, who had input into the various committee meetings. ASIANIA countries also represented on the various committees. Formation Skydiving Chair Mark Zulhmayer (Australia), Indoor Skydiving Chair Mohamed Delayle (Qatar). Committee members CF Lindy Williams (Australia), Technical & Safety Faye Cox (Australia) and Effendi Soen (Indonesia).
Judges for all of the World events 2018 will be selected by each Chief Judge. ASIANIA countries which will field Judges and Officials to the various World events have been selected and are noted for your information and interest.

World Formation Skydiving, Artistic Events and Speed Championships in Australia.

Australia will host the World Championships for Formation Skydiving, Artistic Events and Speed at the Gold Coast , Queensland from 6th – 13th October 2018.
Bahrain will host the 3rd World Cup of Indoor Skydiving at Zallah, from the 25th to 28th October 2018
China will host the 1st Indoor Skydiving Championships and International Open at Chongqing, Yubei District, from the 18th to 23rd September 2018
19th ASIANIA OPEN Championships 2018
At this time there is no host country and the event may necessarily be postponed until 2019. Japan presented a bid to conduct the World Indoor Skydiving Championships but required NAC approval. Hopefully Japan Indoor Skydiving will be able to present a successful approved bid for the future.
Judge Training
Four FAI Judge Training Courses have been organised along with the World Championships this year. Formation Skydiving, Canopy Formation and Speed Skydiving in Australia in October and Accuracy Landing and Freefall Style in Bulgaria in August.
ASIANIA will conduct courses for beginner Judges and revalidations for National /FAI Judges at selected venues during 2018. Together with Chair of Judges Yaser Mohsen (Bahrain), Chief of Judge Training Ray Williams (Australia) will organise a series of locations to enable more participation. These courses are planned to prepare and assist judges to gain more theory and especially practical expereince to become eligible to fulfil the requirements necessary to attend future FAI ASIANIA Judge Training Courses.
Chair of Competitions David Choi will be offering ASIANIA support to member countries to conduct successful championships and to provide experienced judging or coaching support where requested.
